I have so far used only the USB cable. It is pretty simple and easy to use. Connect the USB cable , insert pencil , and the blade starts rotating immediately. You can use it with regular graphite pencils or the colored art pencil.

One thing I noticed is that during the sharpening of pencil, the graphite remains there and doesn't move making it difficult each time to take the pencil out and check if it is sharp enough.
